I think there is a difference between being ready to do something without hesitation when you need to and doing it for the hell of it when your young to be evil and exercise your power over a weaker animal for no reason. The difference between a kid and adult is we know what to do at the right time , the thing people need to learn is following through with the right thing even when thats tough.
>>2365305 yeah I felt the same thing a few years ago we were "hunting" raccoons since they were pillaging my friends trash and their would be like 20 per night it was infestation and they were adding chickens to the property soon so they had to go. I got one in the head with a 22 and it ran off into the woods , me and a buddy ran after it with a 22 lever action and a 22 revolver . it took 15 shots to the head to make sure this raccoon was dead and i felt like shit about it afterwards . just because it was suffering ,if it was just muscle spasms or real pain. next time I will use a 17 hmr or real caliber suppressed . but I never hesitated when I shot the racoon because its what you have to do in that situation or it would lead to other problems down the road.
