>>424957Sleep paralysis is one of the most horrifying things I've ever experienced, and I lived in a haunted house once.
One night I was in my bedroom, and out of nowhere I just got this really bad feeling, like I'm not sure how to explain it, but there was a strangeness emanating from the corner of the room. It bugged me all night, and at the time I was typically going to bed around 10PM, but I felt nervous so I stayed up late and played video games, I guess hoping it would go away. Eventually I gave up and went to sleep, but I couldn't shake the feeling of these bad vibes coming from that corner of the room. I woke up later that night facing the wall my bed is next to, lying with my back to the corner, and I was absolutely terrified, like I was a Jew hiding in the attic in WW2, seriously scared man. I just lay still for a really long time, trying not to breathe too loudly or deeply, like I'm a little kid hiding from the boogeyman. I guess I fell asleep eventually, but the next thing I know I feel like I'm being lifted out of my bed, to the point where I can't feel any contact with my mattress, blanket or pillows or anything. I feel like I'm just floating above the bed, but I can't feel my body at all, it's more like my consciousness or soul is being pulled out, while my body is still below me. Not long after I'm back in my body, in bed, but I'm not sure if I can move or not, and I didn't want to try, because all I can feel is something staring at my back as I lay in bed facing the wall, and I'm overcome by the most intense fear I've ever felt in my entire life, like a bear is at my back, ready to rip me apart in the middle of the night. It took me a really long time, but I eventually rolled over and flicked on my lamp, fully expecting some a samsquanch or something ready to eat me, but of course there was nothing.
Honestly, I'm still not sure if it was sleep paralysis or something worse, but to me it felt evil, so I'm not convinced.
