FAQ
>What /SIG/ applies to /out/?
First and foremost is your physical health; feel free to look at any resources online including /fit/ if you're curious (can't very well build yourself up if you're next to dead). Next is your mind and spirit; again resources online can help, as can schooling. If you're the religious sort try and find the local flavor of cult that's to your liking. Third is finances, build a savings plan for yourself, including investments. These can help you fund your /out/ activities. The converse can be true if you take an /out/ job.
>How do I /SIG/?
First set goals. Not pipe dreams, but goals. They need to be quantifiable, and you need to have a clear understanding of what they mean. e.g. "not be a fat neckbeard" is a vision, not a goal; "cut 40lbs in the next 8 months" is a goal, and one that may be attainable if you're in the fat neckbeard camp.
Second work towards these goals. for the above example, it may be to bike 6 miles each day. If you are doing something like reading x number of books each week/month/year, make sure to set aside the time each day. If it's a savings move, make sure to have a designated amount in your budget that goes into savings before you even touch your paycheck.
TYPICAL /OUT/ GOALS
>I want to be buffcakes magoo so I can fight a kangaroo, how do I do this?
>I want to climb <really bigass fucking mountain>. Am I too scrawny?
>How do I save enough money to <do thing>?
>How do I get a job doing </out/ job>?
>I want to live off the land, how do?
>I want to follow in the footsteps of /out/ YouTubers doing /diy/ stuff. It's my dream!
The short answer to these things is simple; do your research and put in the work. Baby steps are important, marathon runners run every day, scholars study every day, and you should work towards your goals every day. Feel free to post and ask questions about your /out/ targets here, and share whatever wisdom you have.
