>>2752617Tomatillos: Big surprise this year, not the right climate at all, but the plants are fully healthy, nice and robust. I think there might be like 50 calyxes on two plants in one bucket already puffing up. Dunno if I like them yet kek but if I will, I'm definitely gonna replant.
Currant: Finally putting out branches after I pruned it. TBA.
Strawberries: Another big surprise, they're doing way better than I expected as crowded as I planted them. Wild + normal hybrids I think, really tasty.
Peppers: Eh, one of them has had a pepper on it for a month, the rest are barely starting. Similar to tomatoes, also a month or two till harvest but depending on how much they produce IDK if I'm gonna be doing them next year. All fruited so far are pointy, so I guess I crosspolinated my bells with the torros too by accident. Whoops.
Cayenne: Fruited a lot in a very small pot, satisfied. Still waiting for them to get red but the size and amount is nice.
Peas: Tasty, quick to grow, quick to die due to mildew. Could probably get two or three successions in one season, will do next year.
Brussels: The one planted late is kinda meh but the ones I planted in mid June are doing real great, healthy. To be seen whether the tight spacing will be good.
Just pruned a LOT of stuff. One of the cucumbers was fully dead so I might've gotten unlucky and had it be the chinese one.
I wanted to experiment this year and I'm seeing results. Lots to think about. Definitely will separate the different varities next year.
That newer brussel is also not looking great. Isn't that fungal damage? I have a large tomato branch I pruned, could put it in its place. What do you think? Maybe peas?
