I was watching a documentary about a guy who spent years evading police in the forest. They had psychologists who claimed that after spending years out there hiding and living off the land his brain would have changed. He would have become extremely attuned to slight changes in his environments, rocks and sticks that had moved, his ability to see movement would have increased and his auditory recognition of human sounds would have went way up. They also discussed how he could have easily lived off road kill. A couple times they almost found him and later discovered that he was hiding within feet of them.
Essentially they were saying he would have had super human senses for detecting other humans and hiding from other humans. They also said that because he was focusing so hard on remaining undetected he could have entered a mental state of hiding that could last indefinitely until he dies, and that this goal of remaining hidden would have kept him sane while he was alone. Do you think this is accurate or does this sound like bullshit?
