Yeah I could use ferrocerium or a bow drill or shit like that if I had too, but lighters are so cheap and lightweight and hard to fuck up that there's no reason to not just toss a couple of them in your pack/pockets
Where you should really be focusing your autism is tinder, not the ignition source. Personally I like paper strips coated in pitch or wax and rolled up and stuffed in a bag, but there's a ton of different things you can prepare beforehand or find innawoods that will work well.
