OP here. The way some of these threads turn out is why I love 4chan so much. Pic is the Blue Dot trail at Washington Crossing State Park in NJ. Thought this thread could use some imagery.
Anyway, regardless of law (which states that if I am travelling on the *road* I require a bell or some sort of noise-making device as part of the bike, so no whistle or anything) I know that unless someone purposely fucked with me, like shoved me over, any bike-to-pedestrian accident would have me on the legal hot seat. So I tend to give greater space to peds in my local park.
There is a dedicated bike path adjacent to the main walk path in Jersey by the shore that has goddamn bicycles painted on it every so often yet people that walk 6 across act like I am the goddamn Antichrist when I tell them I am coming up on their left. The main reason I got the MUVI cam was more for legal shit, keeping the record straight, which is weird because:
>>269107 >95% of cyclists will blow every red light and stop sign they see because "I could see around the corner"I'm almost positive that you used 95% in a hyperbole sense, but goddamn if that isn't true and I can freely admit it here.
WALKERS: I'm still curious. If you had to choose the least intrusive yet practical means for bikers to alert you that they are passing you from behind on a multiuse trail, what would it be?
