My favorite river/creek finesse setup. A 1/64oz trout magnet with a gulp alive minnow. I've caught my PB Brown trout, steelhead and smallmouth with this. Depending on current/depth, I'll switch up to a 1/32 or 1/16th oz. Chubs like it too.
Question: is it a fluke that I'm catching big boys with this? It seems too simple. Any suggestions to maximize this presentation and style of fishing? I basically jig it or real like a swimbait. Also bounce off the bottom, etc. Perhaps add a blade?
