The river has everything you could expect from various species of bass to shovelnose sturgeon to carp. I don't really care what I catch as long as it fights well.
I leave a line with a worm and bobbed floating out in the deep calm spot which is usually pretty good for all sorts of slower to strike fish while I work my way up and down the bank casting out and reeling in with my spoon (and also that soft bait I found) which I assume I should be doing with any of the hard baits I end up buying.
The question is what lures should I buy? I just got paid so I have$40 that is either going towards lures or towards beer, so I might as well buy something that will last a while.
