>>2471841I always bring my 100L Cordura Bag either on a Tatonka Lastenkraxe or a Exo K2 Frame and would be happy if either one was my only frame.
>the properly sized bag will center the weight and carry betterthat's only applicable to internal frame fashion outlet backpacks because you can't cinch them tight with straps and they will flap around loosely. The Exo K2 even qualifies as cabin bag / hand luggage on flights if I pull it tight no matter how big of a bag I strap to it.
And even if you just carry 30lbs for an overnighter nothing beats the comfort and back health benefits of a solid frame with a thick padded belt and harness. 30 lbs feels like nothing on the K2 while it would kill me on any Osprey or Deuter (both of which I had before). Sure if you only carry 20 lbs then you might as well carry everything on a belt and some kind of chest pod/rig or just throw a trash compactor bag over your shoulder. You still wouldn't need to buy a fashion pack.
I take the frame if I want to chill out in the hammock after work, climb some mountains on the weekend, as well as when I'm out for 6 weeks.
Explain to me why I (or anyone else) needs to buy a "correctly sized (according to you)" backpack for every occasion if one bag works (with health benefits) for everything we do outdoors?
