What am I supposed to do to fish around the weeds/vegetation that sits on top of the water and makes it near impossible to land fish because the 1.5# bass suddenly turns into 10# of vegetation? Picrel, a pond near me has a good amount of bass and panfish but 80% of the shore is coated with this stuff. I can fish the 20% with minimal problems (just have to steer the fish to avoid the patches) but there are entire sections of the pond that are unfishable because even if you get a fish (which I have) I can't land them because there's no break in the weeds.
