not like I'm super intense or anything but you can't take any risks if you're out there, like actually out there, far away from help and more than a day's hike from civilization. you need someone who won't be a liability if shit goes down.
a few months ago I went on a hike with a coworker, it was short and a pretty easy trail, and the fucker left me behind for literally no reason as I stopped to look around with my binoculars. we were having a conversation and he just stopped talking and took off. I didn't catch up with him until I got to the peak. had no explanation, just "I knew you'd catch up eventually". I was dumbfounded.
obviously I immediately knew he couldn't be relied on, and that experience kind of soured any chance I'd invite him to camp.
also people who consoom those kinds of videos should be rounded up and put in labor camps
