I'm a pipe welder, I spent 50-60 hours a week on jobsites climbing ladders, carrying equipment, etc. I got some Danner Vicious boots cause the standard issue welding boots made my feet hurt like hell.
The Danners have held up for the past 2 years. No sign of wear on the "welt" (the sole is glued), the materials have taken the exact shape of my foot. I expected the comfort (they're like walking on a cloud and noof pain throughout the week), but I didn't expect so much durability, especially given it's one of their cheaper, made in China models. Only part that's giving up is the laces and mesh under it, since they take sparks and it's not a proper welding boot.
I'll probably only ever buy Danner boots from now on, amazing value for the money.
