The countryside is lovely and it feels proper /out/ even just walking down rural country lanes, even though there are hedges everywhere and fields there's still flora and fauna to appreciate.
The UK is something like 89% farmland and has been for hundreds of years unfortunately so the owned land is a problem but there's public footpaths everywhere so you can walk everywhere and you could stealth camp and get away with it most likely. Scotland has right to roam laws though, but Scotland has actual wilderness.
