If i were you, i would shell out some extra money and get one of those with 2 stems so you can have short and long pipe with the same bowl. I would also look for a really thick bowl, mine is too thin imo, gets glowing hot when you dont pay attention to wind for example. I have failed to notice the difference in taste and temperature of smoke between short and long, but im not the guy who talks about nutty and fruity and earthy taste, my palate has a like and dislike setting and thats it.
