>>2287593I had man overboard at the North Sea about halfway between Bergen and Lerwick when sailing. Wasn't even my watch, but it was prior to serving supper, so everyone was awake and could quickly react. We picked him up in two minutes, since weather was stable, while his watch instantly tossed out lifebuoy, making it much easier to spot the guy.
When hiking in the mountains (hills, rather), I had a guy who slide down the path, tumbled down and only stopped when hitting a tree. He was mostly fine, except for being unable to properly walk. So we packed him into a sleeping bag and carried to nearby road for two hours and called the ambulance there. Later it turned out he had his tibia fractured in two places.
That's about it. I'm actually glad this is the worst that ever happened around me. The worst that happened to me personally was twisting my ankle when mis-stepping on a hike.
