>>2312441The park is twice the size of Rhode Island and that's if you don't count Yengo etc which are just different sides of the same area.
Also I've been to Yengo and Wollemi and there are hardly any roads or trails through any of it, and the shit is WAY more impassable than people think. The bush is too thick to walk through and contrary to what anons ITT are saying there are canyons everywhere that you can't traverse without climbing gear, and as soon as you get down to the bottom of one you have to climb right back up the other side, and so on. Because
Think of Bryce Canyon but 8000sq/km and covered in thick bush that either an adult couldn't fight through or the grasses and weeds are so deep you can't see where you're stepping so you risk snake and spider bites. The canyons look like "hills" until you get close and you see it's all just sheer ancient sandstone cliffs covered in little trees and weeds.
I've been to many US national parks that are desert or forest etc, and I have to say it's hard to explain or compare to Yengo-Wollemi. On the ground it would take you maybe 3 weeks to cross but only if you're an expert climber with gear. Google Earth will help you find perhaps the canyons in questions, but keep in mind the OP pic was taken after the canyons were burned bare by bushfires.
Pic semirel, my baby Wollemi Pine at Christmas :3
