At this point we had the option to climb the last 20 feet to the summit, or continue past it to begin the descent. We were inside the clouds now and the wind was whipping us pretty good. And with how slowly we were moving, coming down in the darkness was looking like a real possibility. Therefore there was no discussion when I started climbing again and continued straight across the ridge and down to the start of the descent, bypassing the summit block. Here I set up my last anchor of the route. All together we'd climbed 9 pitches.
