I think I've got everything I need to set up my container watering system. Plugged the leak in the irrigation line I intend to use, and capped all the other 1/2" risers. An 8 port manifold for 1/4" distribution line will screw onto the last riser.
The timer arrived today and I got an adapter to screw it into the sprinkler manifold. Now that I think about it I may need a female-female 3/4" threaded adapter to go from the timer to the irrigation line.
Last year I was using a 2 port timer for front yard and back yard containers. I had to run a garden hose to the rear drip system every evening and unhook it every morning. The new setup will just do its thing every morning with no work on my part.
