Only after all of those things, and actually going inside the bunker and seeing for ourselves that all of the equipment is non functional that we decided to actually climb the tower, now.... as far as security goes.
That same tower has an automated combo electric gate at the bottom of the hill, if you take a spare tire, or piece of sheet metal, run to the other side of the gate and plop it on the sensor, the gate will open. Generally if I cant take a vehicle and the hike up to the tower is like 5 miles or whatever, I just don't bother until I can find another way up, for example here is one that I haven't been able to get past so far, need to park nearby and take a mini honda trail-bike or something.
