I know this is very borderline for P. canariensis, gonna need some protection when one winter decides to be colder again, but those guys have just become way too large to keep potted over time...
Trachycarpus fortunei is very safe in my zone though without protection, there's a very nice specimen in my neighbourhood (pic related) whcih must be easily >15..20 years old so it has survived the two weeks of continuous bare frost and lows down to -16 back in 2012. Old pic from 3 years ago, has grown quite a bit since and reliably flowers
