I wear military/surplus gear because:
# In Poland a lot of people wear camo wardrobe on daily basis, men and women, nobody thinks it's weird. I don't mean full uniform, usually a jacket or yoga-pants for women (fap fap fap) etc.. It's because we like military, because it's cheap, and because we have bigger problems than acting like oversensitive fags.
# It's practical & durable. Often dirt cheap, too.
# When I get dirty it's not as visible on camo pattern as on one-colour jacket/shirt.
# I use webbing for heavy items & quick access items. Light items go to backpack. Sorry, only military gear has that, though recently some 'civilian' looking jogging vests & chest[rigs apeared, I'll check them out some day.
# I'm not a geardo larper, but if a basedboys boypucci clenches with horror on the sight of military gear, that's a bonus.
