>>1262418I grew up in a temperate rainforest. I can't imagine living in a desert. I've been to the south west section of Texas in the Big Bend area and into Mexico near there. It was torture because of the lack of green. Like it was winter here, but hot and without the snow. I didn't see a single garden of any kind while I was there. This was before 9/11, back in the 1980s, when you could cross the boarder easily and there was booming tourism.

>>1262764>vidThat's basic ditch/canal irrigation. It is pretty ancient, going back to the fertile crescent and probably older. Though, it is a tremendous waste of water, like the worst way to do it in a desert. The best way, happens to be the most cutting edge modern techniques like aquaponics for instance. If only an aquaponics system could be made cheaply without the use of plastic.
>>1262799>sunscreenI use a giant straw sombrero (ebay). The kind that looks like a cowboy hat. If I had problems with insects, I'd use netting since I don't like wasting money on something I'd be washing off all the time. And, I don't like putting that crap on my skin.
