I've been gradually stepping up my fishing game since I moved out on my own. I have fond memories of fishing out of farm ponds with a cork and worms and how excited we were to land a 3 or 4lbs bass.
But fastforward a couple of years after I moved out and now I'm teaching them about braided line, flurocarbon leaders, wide gap circle hooks, baitrunner reels, and different kinds of rigs.
I used to consider a bucket full of bluegill a good day's catch. Now it's just bait.
