Never really foraged in the summer months before, every autumn I collect tonnes of blackberries, elderberries, rosehips and walnuts, plus all the mushrooms but summer I never really bothered cause I'm too busy out hiking in the sun.
This year though, I harvested a load of elderflowers at the start of June and made cordial from it (The same trees that I got the berries from last autumn for wine that is currently aging).
So today I got caught in a heavy rain shower and went under a tree and seen cherries on the tree. Turns out there were like 20 cherry trees there, twenty minutes from my house and I never noticed.
Never really made anything from cherries before but I've no jars to make jam at the moment (Just made a huge batch of marmalade).
Any suggestions for what to use these for?
