Sup /out/ I've finally decided I want to buy a decent set of binoculars, but I know nothing about them and having used both cheap ones and expensive ones I know there's a huge difference in image quality so I was hoping for some advice/spoon-feeding on what to get. Budget is $250 although I'd like to keep it under $200 if possible, primary use is wildlife watching, and races/large outdoor events plus just kinda general use, and I definitely don't care about stargaxing. Currently looking at Vortex Diamondback HD 8x42s, good buy? Or something else I should look at?
Also general binoculars/optics thread I guess, I'm sure there's some autists that love shit like this.
