>>153832>We're the top of the food chain, it's only natural for us to remove things which threaten us or our territoryi am at a loss for words. This is the height of ignorance and arrogance by humans. we are fucking not top of the food chain. being top of the food chain means removing things for food, not threat. Being top of the food chain means being carnivorous, not omnivorous. Being top of the food chain has nothing to do with killing something you deem as pest. Your exceeding arrogance about humanity only suppresses nature. (hurr durr humans are animals and part of nature hurr.. this argument doesnt hold up because although its true, its redundant and pointless because our lives are spent effectively removing ourselves from nature and the dangers and pests thereof).
>>153820I am well aware of that; but its been exponentially increased in the past 200 years and arguing otherwise is silly. Before colonial settlement almost everywhere; things were pretty sustainable. Killing natural predators works at sustainable human levels in dispersed settlements, like happened for 1000s of years. Emigrating across the globe and into the wilderness, establishing millions cities of millions of people and displacing all the fauna and flora and then just killing it when its a slight inconvenience is not sustainable and will lead to problems down the track.
but the whole point of this thread
>keep cat indoors>keep fishercat outdoors>?????>profiteveryones a fucking winner there.
