>>1227452If there is no reception then I would cover it with a tarp or a garbage bag or a spare jacket - I would definitely have those if I was hiking some place deep. Then depending on the state of the body and terrain, temperature, I would either hang it on a tree to keep it save from bears or bury it, with a marker, probably take a picture of the surrounding area so I won't forget where it is.
It doesn't take long for animals to ruin a body, I wouldn't stick around too close while waiting for help if I had a cell signal either in case of bears.
