usually they'll get a few inches tall before getting eaten, but these two grew to just over a foot before this happened.
1) can these plants still grow and turn into sun flowers, or are they basically done flowers?
2) what can I do to help deter pests? they're ignoring everything else besides the sunflowers. I planted a few more a few days ago and they're starting to sprout...I'd really like at least one or two large flowers this year
