Need some advice about work /b/.
After I got married, I tried to ass my wife on my insurance policy. At that time, adding a spouse was free. I would have to pay nothing more. Since it was more than 30 days after I was married, boss said I had to wait until open enrollment. He said it was the end of the year when that was.
Reminded him twice in the coming months to add her.
Got to the end of the year, asked again. He said "sorry, open enrollment was last month, and you missed it, nothing I can do".
He fucked up., was supposed to add her and forgot.
So I wait 1 year to add her. I ask the other day what I need to do to finally add her. He says "oh, policy changed 6 months ago, forgot to tell you, if you add someone now you have to pay for them. If she was added last year she would be grandfathered in, and you wouldn't have to pay".
So because he forgot to add her, I now have to pay $200 a month for her for life. I don't think I'm responsible for his mistake.
I have to face him and our board tonight to argue my case. The board all knows him, basically friends with him, and they barely know me. I have a witness with me that heard be ask for these benefits to be added. Nothing else is on paper. Hes going to lie and say I never asked him.
Tips to help me vs the board of directors to help me get benefits.
Pic unrelated.
