I grew up in these woods, there's probably no single place in the world I've spent as much time. I know them inside and out, you could show me a closeup of a rock or a tree and I'll know exactly where it is. There are, however, some dark and scary sections that I never really ventured as a child so they're still mostly unfamiliar, but a couple years ago I went for a walk through them. Lots of cedar swamp, skunkweed, and expanses of dense scratching conifer forests full of coyotes. Then suddenly, I was facing this.
