>>974563There are an absolute shitload of spotted and blue tilapia in the spots I regularly fish, and I've seen and caught some jewel cichlids too. The jewels are too tiny to bother with, but it's fun to yank them out of the water with a crappie pole when I get skunked otherwise.
Shame about the tilapia though; they won't usually take a hook. Once or twice I've managed to harass the spotted tilapia into taking a jig if they're in spawn and guarding a bed.
