>>1896924I enjoy it when its not summer, the deserts in the united states are beautiful. utah, nevada, eastern oregon/washington, new mexico, texas, southern california, and my home Arizona are all beautiful in their own way. Having been to them all I will tell you now the summers are no joke especially if you have little water and are white you get burnt to a crisp fast or dehydrated. That being said its beautiful and calm and serene all year round and nice to not see anyone for miles, It's a good normie filter for sure. In southern Arizona normie transplants who move out here die every year in the summer because they think they are SUPAH INVINCIBLE AND NATURE IS ON THEIR SIDE HIPPIE but then drop dead from dehydration and the extreme heat and get helicoptered out especially around the superstition mountains region.
If I had to rank each state on difficulty of backpacking and access to water it would be:
>Normal: Eastern Oregon/Washington>Hard: Utah, New Mexico>Very Hard: Texas, Nevada, Southern California (Although Death Valley is a death sentence)>Hardcore: Arizona
