I made this teak flagpole and it took like a hour to install the brass hardware and get things hooked up... only to realize the pole mount angle was inside of my pushpit. Now I have to spend another hour building a block to tilt the pole another 10 degrees aft. So I take off of the mount and discover under it is a really crappy wood repair, so I have to clean that all all out and repair it properly...
So I make a shim block, repair the old gouges under the mount, and am finally ready to remount everything... and i drop a screw through a cockpit supper. So now a 15 minute project has turned into 3 hours and a trip to the Chandlery...
