How do you guys talk yourself out of buying more and more pipes? I never had this problem with guitars mostly due to finances, but pipes are affordable (when even a "high end" pipe can be bought for $150-200) and I keep pulling the trigger on a new one. I'm like a pipe slut, browsing
smokingpipes.com for the next piece, late into the night, only to decide that none of them are good enough. Until. Until! I see it, the next sacred wunderkind pipe that I just have to own. Boom, I press "order" and feel glee at the thought of a new forever purchase on its way to my rack, but also curse myself slightly because money is money.
A nice new Ropp just appeared in the mail, with a pleasingly dark horn handle and consistent grain in the briar. Both sides of it have the same matching swirly pattern, which I've never seen before on any other examples since they never match on both sides like that. My tireless almost masturbatory browsing did pay off, but I think that I *almost* have enough pipes now and need to stop.
>>2750376How long have you had the little maple pipe for? I've got one, but I've been reading that they crack after a while because the wood dries out too much.
