After the first bridge the hike became a relatively easy uphill hike filled with switchbacks until the second bridge. After the second bridge it was dreadful uphill for the next kilometer. After the hike I looked it up and it turns out you gain almost 600 meters in that 1 kilometer. With all the gear we had to stop every switchback. We were all starting to go a bit crazy halfway through, with some mentions of turning back or camping at our current location. But we needed to get to the lake, it had to be done! Also, it's worth mentioning that at this point we had only bumped into 3 other people on this trail, one of which told us the lake was frozen and that the last 2 bridges are super sketch.
