I don't think I can shorten the trip, I finally managed to book all the huts needed. Best I can do is to take the bus in the first part of Switzerland to skip it. I got the lady in charge of Chalet La Grange by the way: very lovely person, not only is she willing to push back the check in hour (had to book Bonatti instead of Elena because of covid) but I spoke to her on the phone and she even offered me to pick me up in Ferret or La Fouly if needed.
