>>1369324>>1369335That's how people get killed while backcountry skiing. Just this year we had like triple the death rate from avalanches in my country just because some newbies thought they knew where it was safe to ski.
So if you're serious about getting into backcountry skiing you might want to do take a course on avalanche safety (dunno if this exists in your country) and do the first few tours with an experiences person.
Also all the gear you'd need for backcountry skiing can get quite expensive, XC Skiing is probably cheaper
