both are most likely Pennsylvanian in age, but I could be wrong, real nice stuff though. As for the rocks used for erosion control, they are mostly likely somewhat local as it's the cheapest to do that for city's instead of importing them from far out of state.

Here are some Ptycohodus Whipplei from the Fishbed conglomerate in Denton Co. Tx, the fishbed lies between the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk Formations -Fossil Anon

Found yet another exposer of this layer where I don't need to get wet and go on for half a mile in woods with no path to get to the spot. Currently I have a good number of teeth in rocks soaking in vinegar to get them out so for now here are some Ptycodus Whipplei teeth. Eagle Ford/ Austin contact zone Denton Co. Texas
