Got a private land antlerless modern gun coming up next weekend. Got a few does on camera coming out during daylight so I'll probably end up taking one of two during the weekend.
Few weeks after that the regular modern gun season opens and I'll be spending a week on public land. I can only shoot one buck and one doe there though. Upside is that I can also take a black bear as well if I see one. Which isn't very likely. I typically hike in around seven miles, set up a Basecamp, then hunt and sleep from there. If I get an animal I hike it to the nearest forestry road and pick it up with my vehicle then go ice it down. Killed one at sunset there last year and didn't get back to camp until midnight.
Then in the end of November we start waterfowl hunting.
