I explored and had some success with dropshot rig today.

Incredibly no snags; something unheard of when I use a jig in the canal.
I rolled with some stupid rig, tying to my hook then trying line to it with two split shots on that. And I used a white + chart tube with all but one big tentacle ripped off.
Next time I'll have to do the palamor knot trick. The lure basically spun whenever it was just laying there because of some line twist. Probably from how I tied everything together.
Tips appreciated.
