If one is stupid enough, anything historical turns into "it's old and meaningless while stuff like Big Brother is new and cool!" and that's the only thing they know about it - not HOW old, not the historical context, not the rarity etc.
It's just going to feel funny to destroy the stuff, just like when you see a cartoon in which some tyrannosaurus skeleton crumbles to the floor of a museum and some guy just goes "uh-oh spaghettios".
