I've recently run out of cork and balsa wood for luremaking.
But the preparation for the next season can never stop, and there is always new materials to try out.
I recently retired an old black plastic cutting board, and I am wondering if anyone here has experience in "second hand" plastic as material.
I've tried it with my knives and they bite into it easily. But it rounds up and fuzzes up with sandpaper, both coarse and fine have same result. On the positive side it can be heated and molded fairly easily.
Plan is that if the prototype I make out of black plastic works out, I'll head out and buy many different colour ones and make multicoloured ones by layering them on top of another.
