Guy tells me that it comes with a free 25 year warranty, fast forward 9 years, rod explodes while casting it. I take it in and the guy says its 60 bucks to fix or replace it. I tell him what the fuck, we end up working down to 30 bucks, and I expect him to just give me a new rod. He sends it in to get repaired, told 2 weeks to one month. After 2 months they say it's on it's way any day. Then 3 months I still dont get it. They say the same thing. Finally after four months and going the rest of the trout season fishing stockers with an 8 wt. I get my replacement piece back, and they were so kind to include a free sticker for my wait. Fuck orvis, they should stick to selling old men slippers. I can get a nice fly rod for less than 60 bucks at my local tackle shop and a decent rod for less than 30 at BPS.
