The stock strap is commonly the first point of failure and a one-piece strap makes one of the spring bars (actually push pins in the F-91W) redundant, which is the main reason I switched out my strap. If you get a NATO strap make sure your buckle doesn't have sharp edges like the cheap ones at Walmart; I got a Zulu strap (oval rings and buckle) to avoid any chance of that issue at all.
