I use the Teton Oasis 1100 as a day hiking, fishing, and EDC bag. It's pretty good for $30 (Yes, its $30, prices are higher than usual right now).
Its 18L, comes with a decent 2L bladder for the price, has a large main compartment, a small compartment on the top, and a medium sized compartment in the front, an area underneath the front compartment for storing a jacket, 2 deep water bottle holders, 3 compression straps, a shitty cord for carrying things in the front, and chest and waist straps. It's a budget day pack, but it's hard to beat for the price. It's not tacticool.
