>>1560088In Norway you’re free to camp wherever you want whenever you want, even on private land. Only rule is it cant be farmland, you have to stay 100 yards away from buildings and you can only stay in the same spot for two days, but you don’t have to move your camp very far. We also have a network of cabins all over the country, some manned and some not. Theyre generally vheap to use and you can rent or even buy a universal key that will open all of them.
Pretty sure the rules are similar in all nordic countries. Germany, Austria, Switzerland etc probably also have laxed rules. Bongland is the only exeption I know of.
Camping in the US sounds terrible.
