>>1221694Been hunting for years, and I would say you shouldn't be scared of black bears but you should respect them. Black bears can be deadly and dangerous,but if you're going /out/ in bear country you should be prepared for a run in. I have had to kill a bear before in the fall cause he was stalking me and refused to run after being hollered at,and it was clear he was not gonna let me go.
