Muskie anon here. I decided to hit up my local muskie lake on my kayak. I caught two nice sized muskie, my 2nd and 3rd muskie ever since getting into musky fishing. One was measured to be 42" and the other looked about 40 but I did not get a good measurement. The first one I saw leap clear out of the water and I triggered him to bite by pulsing my bucktail. I fought him for about 10 minutes before I managed to gill grab him. The second one slammed my bait and dragged me and my kayak all around the water for 5 minutes and tail splashed me multiple times. I managed to get him in and he nearly tore my hand apart when I tried to unhook him . Those fish I believe are the current peak of my fishing career as I pursued them in a kayak casting in spots I specifically marked by looking at contour maps. Both fish swam away healthy. I can't be happier.
