Some marketing geniuses discovered the possibility of inventing a new term for selling more backpacks based on weight, rebranding them as ultralight/hyperlight for trails and putting a bigger tag price for milking ignorants.
Not saying light packs are bad, have their purpose. Only problem is marketing bullshitting around them.
